Feeding Children

& Families

When the school day stops, that shouldn’t mean meals stop, too. Feeding children and families after school & work, on the weekends, and over summer vacation helps build & maintain a strong community.

After School Meals

Neighborhood House provides free after school meals to children 18 years old and under. Children can attend the After School Meals Program from 4:00 p.m.-5:15 p.m. Meals are served from 4:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m., tutoring and enrichment activities to follow. Volunteers are needed to help with the After School Meals Program.

Sunday Meals

With the help of 14 local churches and organizations, families can come to Neighborhood House every Sunday for a meal. Meals are served at 12:00 p.m. This program is funded and operated by volunteers.

Summer Feeding Program

Neighborhood House provides free lunch daily to children during the summers from 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. Lunch is served from 12:00-1:00. during the summer break established by School District 150. Children are encouraged to stay for enrichment activities following lunch.

Pantry Programs

Neighborhood House Food Pantry

  • 2nd and 4th Thursday of Every Month
  • 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM or until 75 boxes have been distributed
  • Participants will need to show a government-issued ID
