Join us for our first-annual House Party, a nostalgic night filled with games, art, raffles, prizes, and 90s-themed music and food!

This fun, laid-back event will bring our supporters together to celebrate Neighborhood House’s accomplishments, honor individuals and businesses that have gone above and beyond for Neighborhood House’s mission, and raise money to feed, educate, and empower the Peoria community.

Thank you to everyone who made Food Fight 2024 such a success! Thanks to the generosity of the Guests, Chefs, Bakers, Sponsors, and Community Partners, we were able to raise enough funds to feed thousands of individuals between Meals on Wheels, Food Pantry, and Sunday Meals Programs.

RAGBRAI is the longest, largest, and oldest bicycle touring event in the world, bringing thousands of cycling enthusiasts together from across the nation and even around the world. Our team participated again this year, traveling nearly 500 miles across Iowa and raising enough money to feed thousands along the way. Thank you to all who participated and our riders for their hard work!

Thank you for supporting Neighborhood House.

Help us keep the community warm this winter by donating your gently used coats, gloves, hat, scarves, and other winter wear to Neighborhood House’s Coat Drive. We will be collecting items from September 9th to October 11th.

Spread the word! If you or anyone you know is in need of a coat, they can stop by Neighborhood House from 6am-4pm on October 18th, 2024. Everything is free of charge. Adults must be present to receive a coat, but families can pick up for their children with a form of proof (medical insurance, birth certificate, etc.)

Our annual Santa for Seniors program helps combat the loneliness and isolation that too many face by delivering gifts to homebound Senior Citizens in our Meals on Wheels program and other partnering facilities. Volunteer to help brighten local Senior’s holiday season by delivering gifts. Delivery will be on December 8^th, 2024 from 10am-2pm and you can sign up to volunteer here.

Many in our community face hardship all year, which can make the holidays difficult. To help make the holidays special while taking the stress off of local families, we partner with Big Brothers Big Sisters to organize an Angel Tree.

How it works:

• Children in our Youth Program and from Big Brothers Big Sisters submit gift wish lists
• Community members and supporters adopt wish lists, purchase gifts, and donate them back to Neighborhood House
• Neighborhood House distributes them to the families in the program before Christmas

• Last Day to Adopt a Child or Family – 11/22
• Deadline for Gift Donation – 12/9
• Gift Pickup for Families – 12/16
