Holiday Programs

Santa for Seniors

This year Neighborhood House partnered with UFS once again for Santa for Seniors. Although the wrapping of presents looked a little different this year we were still able to deliver 1,500 gifts to home bound senior citizens. Thank you to all our volunteers and UFS for making this possible. We couldn’t have done it without you! Thank you for your support!

Angel Tree

This year we were saddened to not be able to collect toy donations for our annual Children’s Toy Shop. However, we remain dedicated to our area youth. We were able to adapt our Children’s Toy Shop into an Angel Tree for approximately 320 children currently within our meal delivery program. Thank you to all the local families, businesses and organizations that adopted these children. You helped us spread so much joy this holiday season!

Giving Tuesday: December 1, 2020

Make A Difference

Thank you to all who donated to Neighborhood House for Giving Tuesday! Your contributions will Make A Difference in the programs we offer our community!

Even though Giving Tuesday is over, the work is not done.

Neighborhood House, like many other numerous local organizations, has increased beyond a sustainable capacity during COVID and could use your help in maintaining these efforts. Some nonprofits have been forced to decrease services or shut their doors, due to increase in minimum wage, decrease in funding and now a pandemic that prevents high grossing fundraisers. We have never needed the community more to ensure that our most vulnerable populations are safe, sheltered, fed, and educated.

Together we can do this!

You can help make a difference in the lives of so many. No amount is too big or too small to make an impact.

Food Fight

Due to the continued spread of COVID-19, our scheduled venue being closed, and the direct impact the local restaurant industry has faced, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our Food Fight 2021 event. Our team is working diligently on alternative fundraising opportunities to ensure our community programs keep pace with the growing need, despite this loss of revenue. We want to thank all our local chefs for their continued support of Neighborhood House and look forward to seeing them back in 2022.

RAGBRAI 2021: July 25-31, 2021

Our team is excited to participate in this year’s 48th RAGBRAI event, July 25-31, 2021 to help raise awareness and funds for our programs. Our team is monitoring the ever-changing situation with COVID-19 closely to ensure the safety of our participants.

We hope to see you for RAGBRAI 2021!

Saddle Up: August 27, 2021

As part of our mission we strive to provide a safe environment for our community. With the ever-changing situation and uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our Saddle Up fundraiser for 2020. Our team is working on virtual fundraising opportunities to help prevent the negative impact this loss of revenue will have on our services the community needs. Watch our Facebook page and website for ways you can continue to partner with us.
